According to preliminary information, the accident occurred in Konkan Nagar at around 8:30 am. The electric bus operated by the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) undertaking reportedly went out of control while reversing and collided with three parked motorcycles and an autorickshaw before striking the pedestrian.
Police officials said the injured pedestrian, identified as Atul Anand Padve, a local resident, suffered a minor leg injury. He was immediately taken to MT Agrawal Hospital for medical treatment.
The incident comes a month after a fatal accident in Mumbai’s Dadar area, where a man was killed and six others were injured after a BEST electric bus crashed into two cars and several other vehicles.
Meanwhile, in another incident in Mumbai’s Wadala suburb, three people suffered minor injuries after the first floor of a ground-plus-one structure collapsed onto a medical shop in the Shanti Nagar area on Tuesday morning.
The collapse occurred behind Vidyalankar College near Samrat Medical and was reported to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s Mumbai Fire Brigade control room at 11:32 am.

Before emergency teams reached the location, local residents had already shifted the three injured individuals to a private medical facility in private vehicles. The injured were identified as Khushabu Khan, 27, who suffered a minor head injury; Ashish Singh, 40, who sustained a minor injury to his left hand; and Sunil Yadav, 30, who suffered a minor injury to his right leg.
Officials confirmed that all three victims received treatment at Deepansh Clinic and were discharged on the same day. Emergency response teams, including the Mumbai Fire Brigade, local police, 108 ambulance services, and land ward staff, were deployed to the site following the collapse.
The structural collapse occurred amid ongoing monsoon-related disruptions in Mumbai, with several incidents reported across different suburbs. The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds over Mumbai and neighbouring districts on Wednesday. Heavy rainfall-induced waterlogging also disrupted rail services on the Western Railway network.
Earlier on July 6, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation reported multiple fatal incidents across the city. In Mankhurd, six people died after a building collapsed, while in Kurla West, a 63-year-old man lost his life after a tree fell near Nehru Nagar. The civic body received 423 complaints related to tree or branch falls and 29 complaints of wall or house collapses across Mumbai. In Jogeshwari, seven people were injured after a tree collapsed on a house, while two others suffered injuries in a similar incident in Worli.
The series of accidents highlights the growing challenges faced by Mumbai during the monsoon season, as transport safety concerns, structural vulnerabilities, and rain-related emergencies continue to test the city’s preparedness and response systems.
